My
wife Wanda and I are native South Carolinians. Wanda has retired after
29 years as a fourth grade teacher. My late grandfather, S. F.
Sherard, started a general mercantile business in 1916. I am a third
generation offspring of that business which evolved into cotton, cotton
ginning, products dealing with farming, then ranching. Our family had a
4000-acre ranch with Charlais cattle and registered Quarter horses. I
spent three years in the U. S. Navy and three in the reserves. When SLV opened April 1, 1989, I was the first salesman to hang a real estate license and had the honor of selling the first lot ever! During the past seventeen years, starting eighteenth, I have helped approximately 1000 families, who have purchased property at SLV, from 42 states and 5 countries. I was honored to receive the "Salesman of the Year" from Cooper Land Development Company for the years 1993-2000. This is due, in part, to my marketing efforts at Trade Shows in the Upper Midwestern and Northeastern states. I try to give personal attention to those who are property owners, as well as potential owners. This has created a major contribution with referrals. Satisfied customers are my best advertisement! More recently, for the year 2006, I was able to close almost $18 million in sales volume, and was the top salesman in all of the Greenwood Multiple Listing Service, which includes 250 sales agents. As a seventh generation descendent of the French Huguenots who settled here in the 1700s, and once owned this land, I believe we are a part of a large, extended family in Savannah Lakes Village. That is one reason I keep in touch through e-mails, toll-free numbers, both in the office and at my home. I offer services for reservations, tee-times, general facts about the area, and answer just about any kind of question that may arise. As a local, I stay current and enjoy helping. I have also written a detailed "PLACES TO GO WHEN VISITING SAVANNAH LAKES VILLAGE." It gives directions to various places of interest, restaurants and shops in McCormick County, where SLV is located, Historic Abbeville County, Greenwood, Edgefield, another historic county, and Augusta, GA. Integrity and belief in Savannah Lakes Village are my strong convictions. All potential property owners can rest assured I will make every effort to find the home site or preowned home of their dreams. Then, I will continue to provide all the help and support they need to make a smooth transition to Savannah Lakes Village so it will be a truly enjoyable and memorable experience as they become a part of our "family." Please contact me at any of the numbers listed. |
